Miami signed veteran cornerback Mike Hilton, NFL Network’s Cam Wolfe reported on Saturday. The Dolphins announced earlier they had signed cornerback Jack Jones.

The signings of Hilton and Jones reflect Miami’s urgency to stabilize their secondary as the regular season approaches.

Hilton, 31, has spent four years with the Pittsburgh Steelers and four with the Cincinnati Bengals. The Ole Miss product has won two AFC Defensive Player of the Week awards and started double-digit games each of the past two seasons.

The Miami Dolphins lost experienced DBs after last season. Now the secondary is the team's biggest concern as it prepares to face top QBs.
