Aaron Ramsdale is jetting into Tyneside for his medical as Newcastle United close in on a loan deal for the Southampton goalkeeper. Ramsdale agreed to join Newcastle over the weekend after talks with his representatives and Eddie Howe.

Tuesday night brought news (see below) that agreement had been reached between Southampton and Newcastle United for the transfer of Aaron Ramsdale. The deal is an initial loan for a season, with then a transfer fee for a permanent transfer set to be paid in July 2026.
