Chicago residents are cleaning up after strong storms with hard rains caused flash flooding Friday, especially on the South Side.
Just 24 hours after heavy rain flooded several homes on Chicago’s West Side, more rain on Saturday afternoon made it difficult for residents to dry out their belongings.

There is a small chance of a spotty t’shower this afternoon. This will be the first of a three-day heat wave reaching its peak tomorrow. Highs on Monday will be in the mid to upper 90s and may very well end up being the hottest day of the year so far.
A line of fast-moving storms prompted severe thunderstorm warnings in the Chicago area and ground stops at O'Hare and Midway airports. There were also reports of storm damage.
