China’s leader Xi Jinping says no one wins in a trade war as he kicked off a diplomatic tour of Southeast Asia with a trip to Vietnam

Deeper, more expansive trade with neighbours could help offset damage to China’s GDP growth, according to economic surveillance office.

His comments, in an article for Vietnam's Nhan Dan newspaper, come he begins a series of state visits to the country, Malaysia and Cambodia from April 14 to 18.
