Taylor, who played all three outfield spots and second base this season, is owed $13,435,484 from a four-year, $60 million contract he agreed to ahead of the 2022 season.

The Dodgers originally obtained Taylor in a 2016 trade with the Seattle Mariners that sent pitcher Zach Lee to the Pacific Northwest. Whereas Taylor enjoyed a successful nine-year run in Los Angeles, Lee never appeared in the majors with the Mariners and hasn't pitched professionally since 2022.

The Los Angeles Dodgers released longtime contributor Chris Taylor on Sunday and activated infielder/outfielder Tommy Edman from the 10-day injured list. The Dodgers also placed right-handed reliever Kirby Yates (right hamstring strain) on the 15-day injured list and promoted righty Lou Trivino from Triple-A Oklahoma City.
