The Dow Jones average finished higher Wednesday after the Fed's June minutes flicked to potential rate cuts. Nvidia set a new high, and hit the $4 trillion mark in valuation.

Nvidia ( NVDA 0.53%) became the first company to reach $4 trillion in market cap on Wednesday -- an incredible feat considering the company was worth a fraction of tech giants Apple and Microsoft just a few years ago.

Those downturns proved to be little more than blips in the continuous—albeit choppy—march the stock market has had since its recent nadirs in April. Meanwhile, tech juggernaut Nvidia hit a historic new $4 trillion milestone.
