NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Officials have issued a boil water advisory for the East Bank of New Orleans on Sunday (Jan. 26). Residents should boil tap water for at least one minute before use, including drinking, cooking, or brushing teeth. The advisory will remain in effect until officials confirm that water samples meet safety standards.

A boil water advisory issued Sunday for the entire east bank of New Orleans was lifted Monday afternoon, according to New Orleans Sewerage and Water Board. Meanwhile, parts of New Orleans East and Venetian Isles remain under the advisory,

Some New Orleans' east bank residents remain under a boil water advisory Monday evening. Most can go back to using their tap water.
