Rose became the oldest player to win the Farmers Insurance Open this weekend, and in doing so, he has everyone on notice
SAN DIEGO (AP) — Justin Rose doesn't pay attention to his age no matter how much he gets reminded. His victory Sunday in the Farmers Insurance Open was historic on a couple of fronts. At age 45, he became the oldest winner of a tournament that dates to 1952.
Justin Rose had another impeccable day with the irons, and his 4-under 68 Saturday gave him a six-shot lead at the Farmers Insurance Open, where even second-place Joel Dahmen is already feeling defeated.
Despite the heartbreak of the defeat, Rose was as gracious as ever after McIlroy's birdie by embracing his friend. It was the third runners-up finish at Augusta for Rose who pocketed a whopping £2million for placing second.
