The Phoenix Suns recently claimed a former Los Angeles Lakers guard after he was released following the signing of Marcus Smart.

The Los Angeles Lakers have been named the betting favorite to land Robert Williams III, according to odds released by Bovada. The Lakers come in at +185, ahead of the Golden State Warriors (+255), Milwaukee Bucks (+375), Boston Celtics (+475) and several other contenders.

Star, may join a big-market team. He reportedly wants to play in New York or Los Angeles. His buyout with Utah Jazz is pending. Buyouts usually happen when a player has a destination. Love could reunite with LeBron James.

Kevin Love wants to play in Los Angeles or New York, according to NBA insider Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report.  The Miami Heat traded Love to the Utah Jazz.

O’Neal, who won three straight NBA titles with the Lakers, said the team has addressed its size and star power but warned that shooting could make or break their playoff run. Still, he expects the team to perform better in the upcoming season and make a push for homecourt advantage.
