Andrew Garfield, 'A Complete Unknown' scene-stealer Monica Barbaro, and 'Anora' actor Yura Borisov are circling lead roles in the story of Sam Altman's firing and rehiring.

In addition to “Artificial,” Guadagnino is currently attached to direct a reimagining of “American Psycho” for Lionsgate. And while his DC Comics film “Sgt. Rock” was recently placed on hold, his next film, the campus thriller “After the Hunt,” opens in October.

Luca Guadagnino is in talks to direct “Artificial,” which is in development at Amazon MGM Studios. Plot details for the film are being kept under wraps, but it is described as a comedic drama set in the world of artificial intelligence.
