Brazil’s first Winter Olympic gold medalist has a message worth listening to after his victory in the men’s giant slalom.

Lucas Pinheiro Braathen is ready for one last dance on the Stelvio as he looks to bring the curtain down on the men's Alpine skiing programme at the Milano Cortina Games by claiming a golden double for Brazil in Monday's slalom.

Just like that, the most incredible streak in the history of the Winter Games was over. Not only is Pinheiro Braathen’s gold the first Winter Olympics medal of any sort that Brazil has ever won, it’s the first medal that any South American nation has brought home from the Winter Olympics.
