The Greenwood Police Department is accepting applications for its annual Citizens Police Academy.

Erica Vaaler was one of 19 recruits to take the oath of office and graduate from the Anne Arundel County Police Academy.

The Police and Fire Youth Academy allows kids to see police and fire equipment and undergo some training. This year's event was held June 11-12.
