While the origin of the spill is more than 30 miles away, the sewage was expected to make its way to Long Beach shores via the San Gabriel River, the city said.

Officials say that the sewage happened in Rowland Heights, and that despite the spill's origin being more than 30 miles away, the sewage will eventually move to the Pacific Ocean by way of the San Gabriel River.
