Everyone seems to have an opinion about former Colorado star quarterback Shedeur Sanders slipping to the fifth round of the 2025 NFL Draft. That includes former No. 1 overall pick and NFL MVP Cam Newton, who recently offered his thoughts on Sanders.

One climactic three-day period for Shedeur Sanders was just a preview of things to come. Sanders was taken in the fifth round by the Cleveland Browns. Many have said it's his dad, Deion Sanders, who was outspoken throughout the entire process.

Deion Sanders assumed his son would be a high first-round pick, and he approached the draft that way. He had Shedeur sit out the Senior Bowl. Shedeur attended, but didn’t throw. He was at the NFL Combine for interviews, but once again didn’t throw.
