Amber Alert issued for 12-year-old boy from Virginia, believed to be in ‘extreme danger’
Virginia State Police and the Virginia Missing Children Clearinghouse have issued an AMBER Alert for Juan Sebastian Mejia Acevedo, of Virginia Beach. Virginia Beach City Police say Acevedo was abducted Jan. 24, 2025 about 9 a.m. They believe the boy is in “extreme danger” and they don’t know who took him.

Police have issued an Amber Alert for Juan Sebastian Mejia Acevedo, a missing 12-year-old boy who officials say was abducted on Friday from Virginia Beach. Newsweek contacted the Virginia Beach City Police Department for comment on Saturday via email outside regular office hours.
