West Nile virus detected in Connecticut among earliest in season in decades, official says
BRIDGEPORT — The first group of mosquitoes have tested positive for the West Nile virus this season in Connecticut, state officials said. The Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station, or CAES, said the samples of mosquitoes caught in a trap tested positive for WNV two weeks ago, on June 11.
