Jay Rock was arrested in Los Angeles on Thursday evening (March 13). According to police records obtained by ABC 7, the rapper, born Johnny Reed McKinzie Jr., was arrested for possession of a firearm in the 13000 block of E. 115th Street in Watts.

Rapper Jay Rock is known for his collaboration with Kendrick Lamar. He was previously detained for a shooting in his neighborhood in 2009 but was later found not guilty.
