Former Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff has been elected Friday to head the New Development Bank (NDB), also known as the BRICS Bank to replace Marcos Troyjo, who had held the post since July 2020.
The bank will be set up with an initial investment of 50 billion dollars, with the five BRICS putting in 10 billion dollars each. The reserve fund, meanwhile, will initially contain 100bn dollars.
