BYU Multicultural Student Services hosted Rock Your Mocs Nov. 7-9, encouraging all students to learn about Native American culture and how to make moccasins.

TAHLEQUAH — Cherokee Nation officials are hosting a March 6 workshop for those who want to learn how to make their own unique pair of moccasins.

Josh first learned to make moccasins 30 years ago. He makes a variety of shoes for all genders and ages: white wrapped moccasins, low-cuts, button ups, side ties.

Students at Capital High School made moccasins Wednesday morning as a class project in celebration of National Native American Heritage Month.

Cynthia Pavlovich has been teaching other how to make moccasins. Luke Carroll stopped by the workshop to learn what it's all about.
