World No.2 Iga Swiatek has been bundled out of the Australian Open, losing her quarter-final clash on Wednesday to 2022 Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina. The Pole held a 6-5 record over Rybakina but the Moscow-born Kazakh is in red-hot form as she returns to the spotlight after a couple of injury-cursed years.
The Kazakh took out No. 2 Iga Swiatek in the quarterfinals and No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka in the final in Melbourne.
Iga Swiatek deliberately ripped her skirt during a break in play in her complicated first-round win at the 2026 Australian Open.
