The Minnesota Twins were among the teams that called on Milwaukee Brewers pitcher Freddy Peralta prior to the New York Mets trade.
Longtime Minnesota Twins broadcaster Dick Bremer is joining the club’s Hall of Fame. The St. Paul native will be officially inducted before the Twins’ game against the Los Angeles Angels at Target Field on July 11.
The Twins apparently were interested in trading for Freddy Peralta before the Mets swooped in and got a deal done with Milwaukee.
Regardless of what Walker Jenkins has done on his own, the Minnesota Twins top prospect is blocked at the moment. There is a glut of corner outfield options, and Byron Buxton has capable backups in centerfield. That could quickly sort itself out, but Jenkins is going to need a push for starting playing time.
