Dozens of protesters have converged in the heart of the Latino community in Minneapolis after a large force of federal and local authorities wearing tactical gear conducted what they called a law enforcement action.

Two Minneapolis men were jailed and could be charged Thursday on allegations they assaulted a Minneapolis police officer in the aftermath of a large-scale federal raid of a Mexican restaurant on Lake Street.

A federal law enforcement action in the heart of Minneapolis’ Latino community sparked fear and multiple confrontations between police and residents Tuesday. Local said the operation was targeting drugs and money laundering,
