On Tuesday at 10:06 p.m. an updated flood warning was released by the NWS Wilmington NC valid from Wednesday 7 a.m. until Saturday 6:30 a.m. for Bladen and Cumberland counties.

Showers and thunderstorms are raising flooding concerns across the Washington, D.C. region Wednesday, with isolated flash floods possible through the afternoon and evening.

At 6:58 p.m., a severe thunderstorm warning was issued in east-central Wake, northeastern Johnston, Nash, and eastern Franklin counties. It came a minute after the NWS said a severe thunderstorm was located in Elm City, eight miles south of Nashville, moving northeast at 50 m.p.h.

At 5:51 a.m. on Monday, the National Weather Service released a flood warning in effect until 8:45 a.m. for Chilton and Shelby counties.
