Astronomy lovers in America will be treated to a great show in this month. In the early morning of March 14, a total lunar eclipse will be visible. During this phenomenon, the moon won’t disappear from view but will appear deep red as if it were covered in blood.

From the UK, the Worm Moon will rise in the east and will be visible from about 6.40pm on March 14. The Moon will reach its full Moon phase at 6.54am, according to the tracking website Time and Date. This is after moonset, making the best time to spot the Worm Moon the night before and evening after.
