Police in Texarkana are investigating after two men exchanged gunfire in a residential neighborhood, damaging several homes, with one man arrested and another suspect still at large.

A burglary suspect died early Wednesday morning after being confronted by a homeowner in Texarkana, according to police.

At 4:20 a.m., a homeowner allegedly confronted two people attempting to break into a vehicle at the home. During the encounter, one of the suspects was shot. He died later at the hospital, according to Texarkana Texas Police Department.
