Center Victor Wembanyama and guard Chris Paul of the San Antonio Spurs were both disqualified from the NBA Skills Challenge during NBA All-Star Weekend.

Green said Paul warmed up taking conventional shots, presumably before Wembanyama — a second-year player and the league’s reigning rookie of the year, who’ll play in his first All-Star Game on Sunday — presented his time-saving plan.

Betting on NBA All-Star events is always a risk, and those who failed to take heed on Saturday learned that lesson the hard way during the Skills Challenge -- or at least people who bet on Team Spurs did.
