Orlando weather: Chilly Halloween for Central Florida
After starting the day with temperatures in the 40s and 50s, afternoon temperatures will only reach the upper 60s and low 70s this afternoon.
Jacksonville, North Florida: Expect clear skies and possibly some frost through the weekend. Temps from Thursday through the weekend will be cooler than normal for this holiday with highs in the 60s and lows in the 40s, with a few mid/upper 30s temps possible well inland Friday night.
After savaging Jamaica as one of the most powerful hurricanes on record, swamping Haiti, Cuba and the Bahamas and skirting Bermuda, Hurricane Melissa is rapidly speeding out into the Atlantic and is expected to drop down into an extratropical cyclone later today, according to the latest update from the National Hurricane Center.

Orlando Weather Forecast: Flood watch for Central Florida; rain totals, timeline
A flood watch has been issued for Orlando and most of Central Florida on Monday as more rain is expected throughout the day.
The area is experiencing a noticeable drop in temperatures, with lows this morning in the 50s and 60s and daytime highs in the lower 70s. This marks the coolest afternoon since spring. Tonight, temperatures are expected to drop even further, reaching the 40s northwest of the metro and lower 50s throughout the city.
After storms lashed South Florida with as much as 10 inches of rain in Pompano Beach and significant flash flooding in Boca Raton, a taste of fall weather is on its way.
La Niña conditions are expected to start influencing Florida’s weather. Historically, La Niña Novembers have featured below-average rainfall and only brief cold snaps.
