The Wisconsin Department of Transportation celebrated 27 new troopers joining the Wisconsin State Patrol during a graduation ceremony on Friday, marking the completion of academy training for members of the agency’s 71st and 72nd recruit classes.

A Wisconsin State Patrol trooper pulled over 39-year-old James Nehls around 10:30 p.m. Thursday on eastbound I-39/90/94 near Poynette. Nehls was going 106 mph in a 70 mph zone, according to the Wisconsin State Patrol.
