In order to bring Xbox Adaptive Controller support to Linux users, Yocom has been extending Xpad driver code that's already available on the Linux kernel.

Linux 3.17 adds support for the Microsoft Xbox One controller, albeit without the vibration feature. Microsoft released Windows drivers for the Xbox One controller back in June. Why no vibration yet?

As new features are rolled out in Xbox games or on the console itself, the controller's firmware will probably change in response.
