The league fixture is due to be played on Sunday, May 18 but Tottenham said in a statement on Sunday that they are in discussions with the Premier League to change the date.

Villa have opposed a request from Tottenham to move next month’s Premier League fixture. Spurs are due to visit Villa Park on Sunday, May 18 but have asked for the match to be brought forward to allow them more time to prepare for a potential Europa League final three days later.
