FOX 10 Phoenix on MSNCrews working to contain brush fire burning on North MountainThe Phoenix Fire Department says crews are on the scene of a 10-acre brush fire that sparked just before 12 p.m. on June 17 at North Mountain.
Fire crews quickly contained a brush fire that broke out near the I-5 and highway 905 ramp, closing westbound 905 from Iris Avenue to I-5 north.
KAHIKINUI, Hawaii (Island News) – The third day of the Kahikinui brush fire remains at 93% containment and 330 acres as of 10 a.m. on Tuesday, according to the County of Maui Department of Fire and Public Safety (MFD). Crews continue to work on extinguishing the hot spots and gain full containment.
Multiple fire crews are battling a brush fire on North Mountain. At around noon Tuesday, Phoenix Fire crews were called to the mountain, near 7th Street and Peoria Avenue for a fire. Smoke could be seen coming from the mountain.

As crews worked to put out a vegetation fire sparked along the Santa Clara River bottom in Ventura County, a bigger brush fire broke out along the river.
