A shooting outside the Capital Jewish Museum in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday, May 21, killed two staff members from the Israeli Embassy, one of whom was from the Kansas City area, according to national reports.

SHAWNEE COUNTY—Law enforcement are investigating an officer-involved shooting in Topeka. Just after 11:45p.m Thursday, police responded to investigate a call for of a domestic disturbance at a home in the 1500 block of SW 24th Street in Topeka, according to police spokesman Daniel Garrett.
