Hundreds of theater artists have signed an open letter calling for “accountability” from Patti LuPone over her comments toward fellow Broadway stars Kecia Lewis and Audra McDonald.

Lewis then asked LuPone, from one Broadway veteran to another, to apologize. When asked, LuPone addressed the situation in the New Yorker article, saying, "This is not unusual on Broadway.
