Sheriff’s officials were warning the public Saturday to be on the lookout for a possibly live grenade — one of two that were found at a Santa Monica apartment building storage unit last week, after the other one detonated the following day in East Los Angeles, killing three sheriff’s detectives.

Eklund, Victor Lemus, and William Osborn, all from the Special Enforcement Bureau's Arson Explosives Detail, were killed in the explosion.
