Will LeBron James finish his career with the Los Angeles Lakers? If the Golden State Warriors have their way, the answer will be no. The Warriors have contacted the Lakers multiple times in the last 18 months to inquire about trading for James, according to Jake Fischer of The Stein Line .

Brett Siegel, another insider, gave some more details on the Warriors' interest in James. He reported that after they tried to trade for him just prior to the 2023-24 trade deadline, they checked in on the superstar when this offseason started and again after James picked up his player option on June 30.
