Manchester United spent more than six weeks attempting to strike a deal that suited them for priority transfer target, Bryan Mbeumo. In the end, Brentford came out on top, pocketing a £71million package for a player they paid around £6m to sign from Troyes in 2019.

However, the brilliant news for Mbeumo is that his preferred No. 19 is indeed available at Old Trafford. Last worn by Raphaël Varane for the Red Devils and previously donned by the likes of Amad Diallo, Rashford, Danny Welbeck and Dwight Yorke, it seems likely to be the shirt he takes once his signing is confirmed.

According to reports, Manchester United are set to make a ‘significant move’ for their next signing after Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo. So far this summer, the Red Devils have only signed Matheus Cunha and Diego Leon for around £65m combined, but they are closing in on their third signing as they have reached an agreement for Mbeumo.
