Attorneys for Tennessee basketball player Zakai Zeigler are trying to utilize a new state law to get him an additional year of NCAA eligibility.
According to the On3 Industry Rankings, 247Sports and Rivals, Gray is the No. 1 interior offensive lineman in the 2026 class. Based on the 247Sports composite rankings, he is the No. 2 interior offensive lineman and second-rated Virginia prospect for 2026. Gray is also the No. 28 overall recruit in the class.
Zeigler is the latest athlete to sue the NCAA over player eligibility. The point guard filed the suit in May, asking for court action to allow him to play for the 2025-26 season. In Zeigler’s eyes, limiting a college athlete’s eligibility is illegal under state and federal antitrust laws.
