Mindy Fire initially started 3:47 p.m. June 29 in Riverside County, California. It has burned 109 acres after being active for three days. As of Wednesday morning, the fire crew managed to contain 99% of this wildfire. The cause is, however, still being investigated.

As temperatures rose and conditions dried over the weekend, residents of Southern California received a swift reminder of fire season as at least seven fires broke out across the Southland, according to Cal Fire.

Cooler temperatures and humidity are helping firefighters fight the fire, which nearly doubled in size since Monday afternoon.
