The Washington Commanders are re-signing tight end Zach Ertz to a one-year contract, two people with knowledge of the situation said Saturday night, a move that reunites quarterback Jayden Daniels with one of his most trusted targets. The deal is for $6.25 million and is worth up to $9 million after incentives, one of the people said.

Ertz had his healthiest season in years in 2024 while playing all 17 regular-season games and scoring seven touchdowns.

After re-signing Zach Ertz, the Commanders brought back another tight end in John Bates.
