NASA has confirmed that asteroid 2022 YS5 is approaching. The space rock will make its closest pass on 17 July.

NASA confirms that the massive 120-foot asteroid, 2022 YS5, will safely pass Earth on July 17. Despite its size and proximity, it poses no threat to our planet.

"An asteroid this size impacts Earth on average every few thousand years and could cause severe damage to a local region," the European Space Agency said.
