SpaceX‘s Starship rocket on Tuesday deployed its first batch of mock Starlink satellites in space and tested new heat shield tiles on its plunge through Earth’s atmosphere, clinching development milestones that had been held up by a streak of previous testing failures.
SpaceX has shared some dramatic slow-motion footage (below) of the Starship rocket blasting off from the launchpad at the start of Tuesday’s successful flight . “Liftoff of Super Heavy, the most powerful launch vehicle in history, on Starship’s tenth flight test,” SpaceX said in an online post that included the 30-second video.
SpaceX has broken its rocket reuse record again, notching a nice round number in the process. A Falcon 9 rocket lifted off from NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida on Thursday (Aug. 28) at 4:12 a.m.

The cargo Dragon is the first equipped with a add-on thrusters to periodically raise the space station's altitude.
Following a successful launch of NASA's SpaceX 33rd commercial resupply mission, new scientific experiments and cargo for the agency are bound for the International Space Station.

A Falcon 9 rocket lifted off from Space Launch Complex-40, at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, in Florida, at 7:10 a.m. EDT (1110 GMT). This particular batch of Starlinks, Group 10-54, consisted of 28 broadband Starlink satellites, which were deployed in low-Earth orbit (LEO) about an hour later, SpaceX confirmed in a post on X.
