Protests at Brooklyn College quickly escalated into chaos Thursday evening as pro-Palestine demonstrators attempted to take over Boylan Hall and police were called to the scene.

Several dozen NYPD officers cleared a demonstration of about as many pro-Palestinian student demonstrators from Brooklyn College Thursday evening before making a series of violent arrests and tasing one demonstrator just outside the campus.

At Brooklyn College, police said they took 14 people into custody after the protesters failed to comply with officers’ verbal warnings. Seven were arrested, while the other seven received summonses for lower-level offenses, an NYPD spokesperson said Friday.
