G ov. Gavin Newsom has announced another lawsuit on behalf of California against the Trump administration, this time over the federal funding pulled from the state's high-speed rail project.

California Attorney General Rob Bonta sued the federal government alongside 23 other states over frozen funding for education programs.

States sue over billions in federal education funding that was supposed to begin flowing July 1. Trump officials are reviewing the congressionally approved funding.
