RALEIGH, N.C. -- The Florida Panthers will take their second shot at reaching their third straight Stanley Cup Final when they play Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Final against the Carolina Hurricanes at Lenovo Center on Wednesday (8 p.m. ET; MAX, truTV, TNT, SN, TVAS, CBC).

Carolina's Logan Stankoven scored playoff goal No. 5 in the second period. He joins Erik Cole (six in 2002) and Warren Foegele (five in 2019) as the only rookies in Whalers/Hurricanes history to score at least five goals in a single Stanley Cup playoffs year.

Facing the prospect of a sweep, the Canes eked out a 3-0 win on the road against the Florida Panthers to extend the Eastern Conference Finals to a fifth game. Carolina ended a 15-game losing streak in the third round in the process.
