Posting and Toasting on MSNSummerKnicks Game Preview: Knicks vs. Pistons, July 11, 2025The New York Knicks open their 2025 Summer League campaign tonight at 6:00 PM ET, facing the Detroit Pistons in Las Vegas. Knicks summer league games will be televised on ESPN2 and NBA TV. You can also stream them on ESPN+, NBA League Pass, and other streaming services.
Although they don't have a lottery prospect, there is still a lot at stake for the Pistons during the 2K26 Las Vegas Summer League tournament.
Ron Holland dropped 28 points on the New York Knicks in a 104-86 win in the Summer League opener in Las Vegas.
“Nobody has bigger expectations, first of all, than I do,” Brown said. “My expectations are high. This is the Knicks. I talked about Madison Square Garden being iconic. I talked about our fans. I love and embrace the expectations that come along with it. I’m looking forward to it.”
There’s only so much the Pistons will be looking for in Las Vegas when their play begins July 11 with a matchup against the New York Knicks. Even without an incoming lottery pick to watch like many prior years, there’s still some key figures that are going to warrant attention for Detroit.
It’s not a new strategy. The Knicks were fifth in the NBA in offensive rating and scored more points in transition than the Sacramento Kings, the team that fired Brown after 31 games, last season even as the Knicks ranked near the bottom of the league in pace.
