The Paterson Police Department is mourning the loss of recently retired officer Anthony DeSopo, who was killed in a snowmobile accident in Pennsylvania on Friday, Feb. 7. He was 55 years old.

Anthony DeSopo and James Fontanella were driving their snowmobiles on Lake Wallenpaupack when they crashed into the shoreline. They hit boulders and large rocks and were thrown from their snowmobiles.
