While the Chicago Bulls are seemingly unwilling to pay Josh Giddey what he believes he's worth, rival NBA execs are reaching a consensus.

NBA free agency is basically over, but Jonathan Kuminga, Josh Giddey, Cam Thomas and Quentin Grimes — all restricted free agents — remain unsigned.

The Athletic recently polled 16 people who work in NBA front offices (including no one from Giddey’s incumbent Chicago Bulls), asking what they would deem a “fair” contract for each member of the restricted quartet: Giddey, Jonathan Kuminga, Quentin Grimes and Cam Thomas. They were granted anonymity in exchange for their candor.

Nikola Vucevic is a productive big with solid athleticism and good shooting, but he is getting older. That's why he is a perfect option for the Bulls to get rid of, but it's also why it's difficult to find a team that wants him. However, Marc Stein expects some interest to show up, but it might not happen until the season.

So, last season, when Josh Giddey nailed a half-court buzzer beater to beat the Los Angeles Lakers in the midst of a tight play-in race, it felt like a big deal. Giddey played some phenomenal basketball in the final weeks of the regular season and might have given fans a glimpse of what’s to come.
