Rafael Devers managed to quiet a lot of the negativity about his refusal to play first base by doing a fantastic job as a designated hitter this weekend.

Rafael Devers has repeatedly — and oftentimes quite colorfully, by the way — declined comment when approached at his locker in the visitors clubhouse at Kauffman Stadium. His bat, though, is doing the talking.

After yet another injury, there still remains a possibility that Boston Red Sox manager Alex Cora might ask Rafael Devers to play first base.
