Professors and students took to the stage in front of hundreds off Harvard University’s Campus to rally for their international classmates and colleagues.

Speakers called for the Stanford community to oppose Trump administration policies threatening cuts to federal research funding and universities’ ability to enroll international students.

The decision was a victory, at least temporarily, in the university’s confrontation with the White House, which has sought to undercut its finances and influence.
