John Brenkus, the founder and host of ESPN ’s Emmy-winning Sports Science show, has died aged 54 after “battling depression,” a statement on his social media account said Sunday.

John’s life was full of ambition, but his greatest collaboration was with his wife, Lizzie Brenkus. The two married in 2004 and quickly became more than life partners—they were artistic allies.
